Bonifacio Heights Taguig - LOCATION
Bonifacio Global City which is often abbreviated as The Fort or BGC is both a lifestyle and financial district in Metro Manila. From here, Manila is 11 kms to the north west. The district experienced tremendous growth when the Bases Conversion and Development Authority sold the military land. The whole of this area was part of main Philippine Army camp.
The location of Bonifacio Heights Taguig places it under the administration of the Taguig City government and the local governments of Pateros and Makati. In terms of control, Bonifacio Global City is managed by Ayala Corporation, Bonifacio Land Development Corporation, and Evergreen Holdings, Inc.
Living here gives you access to some of the best health and education facilities in Taguig. For instance, St. Lukes Medical Center Inc is a healthcare institution of excellence which operates as a private non-profit entity. It was founded in 1903 by Episcopal Americans and ever since, it has been excelling in the area of medical service provision.
There are major education institutions here such as De La Salle University and the University of the Philippines. These are prominent universities offering graduate programs for lots of people living and working here. On the transport frontier, Bonifacio Heights Taguig is served by the Fort bus which is currently known as BGC bus. This is an intercity bus operated by Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation. With these buses, you can get to EDSA in Makati through the Mckinley Road.
If you love shopping, there are lots of malls and shopping centers here. For instance, there is the Rockwell Mall that was opened in 2000 and managed by Rockwell Land Corporation. It is a 4-level mall which also happens to be the 9th tallest building in the city. In terms of floor area, Rockwell occupies 41,000 square meters and houses some of the high-end tenants such as Rolex, Hackett London, Ferragamo, and J. Lindeberg. There is also Glorietta Mall which is another massive shopping mall operated by Ayala Corporation. This mall is divided into 5 sections containing restaurants, shops, gyms, cinemas, arcades, and centers for stage events. Its gross floor area measures 250,000 square meters and this makes it the 9th largest mall in the whole of Philippines.
This location also gives you access to the heritage park which is a 76-hectare prime land reserved as a memorial park. It has important landmarks and serves other key purposes such as crematorium services and interment services. This park was opened in 2001 and it is strategically located along Bayani Road.
